On November 19th, Jaguar kicked off their seven-city Art of Performance tour with a Hollywood-style event located on a functioning movie studio in Los Angeles, California.
Open to the public, guests were invited to take a closer look at Jaguar’s entire lineup of vehicles, including the C-X75 concept car that’s featured in the latest James Bond movie, Spectre.
But the star of the event was the 2017 Jaguar XE, an all-new compact luxury sport sedan that draws its inspiration from the F-Type, the brand’s flagship sports car.
The XE features a lightweight aluminum architecture, near 50:50 weight distribution, torque vectoring and an available 340-horsepower supercharged V6 engine.
It’ll get you (and your family) anywhere with speed and style.
With stunning looks and top-notch handling, Jaguar’s vehicles have been featured in a number of blockbuster films, and the Art of Performance tour aims to place guests right in the middle of their cinematic world — literally.
After a quick stop at a hair and make-up station, I was ushered to a live movie set where a director guided me in acting out a few short scenes.
The result? An action-packed cinematic sequence starring the Jaguar XE — and me!
With my short film debut in the can, I made my way to the back lot where a fleet of new Jaguar XEs were awaiting their drivers.
The XE sedan is scheduled to arrive at dealerships around mid-2016 as a 2017 model, so having the opportunity to drive one right now was a real treat.
On the busy streets of Hollywood, the XE is confident and planted, like it’s ready to pounce at any moment.
The 340-horsepower supercharged V6 and quick throttle response made getting around rush hour traffic a breeze. The steering feels “connected” and the ride quality is firm, but not punishing — perfect for spirited driving.
Our last stop of the evening was a posh, custom-built lounge where attendees were treated to refreshments, a pop-up retail store and a photo booth.
With so much luxury, performance and exclusivity surrounding me, I didn’t want the experience to end.
It’s clear that Jaguar’s focus is to deliver maximum driving and lifestyle pleasure, and the proof is in their 2016 lineup of vehicles.
The Art of Performance tour makes its next stop in San Francisco, and continues to Dallas, Miami, New York, Washington and Chicago.
Visit JaguarUSA.com to RSVP for an upcoming event and be among the first in the U.S. to drive the all-new XE.
