On Saturday, March 19 anti-war protests were held in major cities around the country to mark the eighth anniversary of the Iraq invasion. This has become an annual ritual, the Saturday closest to March 19 having by now evolved into a leftist holiday, the anti-July 4.
The San Francisco version of the rally was mostly rained out — only a handful of people braved a downpour to protest in the streets. So I have no report of my own. But fortunately Los Angeles had better weather, and fellow citizen journalist Ringo the Gringo was on hand to document the festivities. Several aspects of the full report just posted on his site “Ringo’s Pictures” reveal the malevolence and dementia at the core of the anti-war left.
Ready? We’re going to Hollywood!
• They’re not anti-war: they’re just on the other side •
Hopefully by now most Americans have come to realize that the term “anti-war movement” is an intentional misnomer; but the point needs to be driven home repeatedly. The standard narrative pushed by the media and academia is that left-wingers are peaceniks who oppose war and violence on principle; whereas right-wingers are inherently pro-war because they’re either sadistic or stupid or both. But any visit to an “anti-war” rally will reveal that it’s not war the far-left opposes, but rather any action that promotes America’s interests. Since American strikes are usually against leaders or nations who oppose the United States, leftists can usually disguise their support for our enemies as merely opposition to military force in general. Yet at these sparsely attended post-Bush anti-war rallies, only the hardcore activists show up, so it’s much easier to see their true agenda once you look for yourself without the media’s obfuscatory filter.
Let’s examine a few examples.
• Pro-Gaddafi Native Americans •
The rally kicked off with an official opening ceremony from a Native American group. And they made it very clear: They support whomever America attacks:
A Native American woman then got the crowd going with a “Down with USA! Down with USA!” chant. Ringo captured the rest of their presentation (transcription below):
Native American Woman: They killed black people here, brown people here, and they still have us in concentration camps. So tell me about your Obama, your United States government. We are coming here with prayer, and everybody comes.
In ’86, they bombed Libya. In ’86, they tried to relocate 18,000 Diné Navajo people in Arizona. And you tell me to go fight a war somewhere else, when the war is here?
They don’t feed our people. They don’t give us an education. War and poverty. But if I go on, I’ll be pissed off, so I want to go back into prayer. [Native American prayer.] All my relations. This is Chief Longwalker, from the Oyate Dakota [Metawakatuyon] nation.
Native American Man: It’s hard for me to talk to you in the enemy’s language. But that’s the only one you seem to understand. ‘Cause each and every one of you who are the true illegal aliens and wetbacks are people crossing the imaginary border, are our people. Those that come across the ocean are the people that are causing all the problems. You are those descendants. It’s up to you in my country — this is mine, I am the landlord, you have yet to pay me my rent — I’m asking you as my guest to take care of Obama, Bush, take care of the Capitol in Washington, DC. Don’t worry about other countries. This country’s got such a stinkin’ filthy backyard that we can’t clean it up; that’s why we’re going all over the world trying to destroy theirs. I’m asking you, as an indigenous person, if you will do it I will lead you. I will lead you. [Native American prayer.]

How many people can fit on this spot? Why are people from the direction of the Bering Sea better than people from the direction of the Atlantic? Is that native-American guy a racist or something?
Who has the right to a land: the first person in it or the one who put up Starbucks and made borders and technologies that will eventually destroy life as we know it on this planet?
Were native-Americans totally cool beings who immediately executed anyone who made an invention cuz they saw by eating peyote buttons that entire forests would be destroyed so Chuck Knoblauch could hit .300? Did native-Americans savvily disdain technology or are they just savage heathens without a clue?
Are the Minnesota Twins in Spring training just so they can win another division title and then choke against the Yankees until their eyes bulge out of their heads?
Should I just go back to Poland where my people came from a hundred years ago and quietly eat a lard sandwich with sugar on it like my mom on the farm in central Minnesota used to do?
So many questions and so many incredible hypocritical morons in California who wouldn’t give up their gas guzzling cars and capitalist jobs if you promised to put them in a time machine and send them back to some miasmal swamp to play ‘Garden of Eden’ with some hairy, dirty apes that will only rise from the muck and make atom bombs all over again any way.
Couldn’t we go back in time to 1965 and make a law that no one can ever enter the U.S. without a giant leash attached to their home country and build a giant waterway along the southern border with machine guns emplacements and cannon?

The same sort of protest was in New York City today–since it was a budget protest, there wasn’t the same sort of pro-Qaddafi nonsense, but there were plenty of anti-Obama posters, a guy with an anarchist flag climbed up on the Charging Bull statue, while another pretended to stab the bull in the balls. All while chanting “Shoot the Bull” and “Down with Wall Street”, as if there were some other way to pay the union’s salary.
The reason we should put up with loonies making obscene demonstrations is because if we do not allow them to do this, they’ll put their efforts toward other, more “activist” behavior. Then you get idiots like the Earth Liberation Front.

So, quite the opposite of what most Americans imagine — that Obama was the descendent of slaves — he was in fact the descendent of the oppressors. On both family trees.

I was born here, my parents and grandparents were born here as far back as I know about. A couple of them are actually “native american”. As far as I’m concerned anyone who is a product of people who are here legally is a native american.

Yah know, the first (and last) anti-war protest I ever attended was back when Vietnam was still going on. Things HAVE changed a bit. There’s more scattered hate now (scattered, in the sense that it has little, if anything, to do with what the protesters are supposedly protesting). But just ONE “baby killer” sign was what made that first protest my last. I was anti-vietnam war mainly because the gov’t wouldn’t LET us win.

As Conservative/Libertarian, registered Republican for voting ease, I do not protest, or attend protests, other than the occasional Tax Day Tea Party. I do not hang with FREAKS like you had pics of. I am AGAINST our War On Libya. We are there primarily in response to UN and Arab League WHIMS. Our troops will be turned over to a Canadian NATO commander, soon. We are NOT there to assassinate qa-Daffy. We are listening to and responding with Tomahawk cruise missile strikes on people/structures, for al-Qaeda who did what the could to kill Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Obama starts WAR, and leaves same day to go do Spring Break with family in Rio. He should have stayed there! Our ‘message’ is totally in a MIX on Libya, that’s not good for the world.
Obama is NOT qualified to do War On Libya. Arab League needs to pay for this exercise in toto (they have access to much oil money). UN needs to pack up and get out of New York, forever.

And during the last 7 days, while the US is bleeding dry and the Arab league is sitting on its hands doing next to nothing (apart from complaining), the rest of the world sends the Arabs another another $19,000,000,000 for ‘their’ oil.

You’re missing the point. Communist organizers usually disguise their intent by assigning “themes” to a variety of groups. Each has an overarching goal of ending capitalism in the United States and ushering in a communist system, but each approaches it from a different angle, and with a different mask. Thus, the “Bus Riders Union” is a communist front group which demands more and more money for (at first) public transportation, and once each demand is met, there is a fresh demand, and an expanded zone of interest: More transportation > FREE transportation > government-subsidized “transit villages” > “Access Justice” meaning a restructuring of society > etc.
Meanwhile, there are other groups demanding free health care, “environmental justice,” enforced “equity” or “diversity” or whatever, more doleouts here, more doleouts there.
Adding it all up, it’s the Cloward-Piven strategy taken to extremes: Marxist organizers intend to pick apart the capitalist system bit by bit, burdening it with a million untenable entitlements, until it collapses under its own obligations — and then we “have no choice” but to usher in a socialist system. All complainers and dissenters will be dealt with harshly, and/or publicly humiliated. Opposing voices will be silenced through a variety of means.
Open your eyes! They have a freakin’ life. And it is devoted to destroying yours. This is not a time to laugh.

My sole connection to the Black Hebrews is with the group who came to Israel in the late 60s and now live in Dimona. Apparently they have come to a mutually tolerable agreement with the local and national authorities, have permanent residency status. Some have even served in the IDF. If they hold similar views to those at the rally they keep them well hidden.
I’m pretty sure that the Black Hebrews who live at Dimona are a totally different group from the new American street-preacher group. In fact, aside from the name, I think they share nothing in common. It’s an accidental misidentification. The ones in Israel call themselves the “African Hebrew Israelites” — the ones in America call themselves the BLACK Hebrew Israelites.

I like the way you take a few demented native Americans try and use them to typify the entire anti-war movement(which doesn’t actually exist at the moment).
The term, “Native American” is both confusing and disrespectful, as it assumes that a European name is proper for this continent. Obviously, these folks were here long before there was any such thing as “America”.
