That's nice, but I won't really be impressed until he screws up his courage and speaks truth to Maddow. He disagreed with her and that's great, but he did it without pointing out that her statement about the problem being that rich people aren't rich enough is either stunningly stupid or shamelessly dishonest.

They'll get Maher back in the fold by reminding how super awesomely progressive he is, and how he "holds back" the evil evility of the ridiculous Republicans and the lizard libertarians.

Or something like that. Maher, you are homo superior! Because you feel! Chant with us! Forward!

And that, ultimately is how they keep the vast majority of their cause celebres in line. But what about their rank and file? That doesn't work so well.
