They’ll probably sell a few to paparazzi.
The wildlife photogs (like I aspire to be) will continue to use the 400 2.8’s, and just stalk a little closer.
Couldn’t you just put a $250-$400 lens doubler on your 400 2.8 and end up with virtually the same thing? I’m far from a knowledgeable photog, but I do recall that the lens doublers I used to play with as a kid would double the f/value, so in this case it would slow your lens to ….. 5.6
I assume there’s an iPhone/Pad adapter. I mean after all why should a poor fanboy care if there’s no iConnection?
