If this were still a sane nation, the media would crucify the strutting mayor of such a city… The electorate would drive such a mayor out of town… Such a mayor would hang his head in shame and never run for public office again…
I am not sure what angle the Chicago Tribune is trying to play with this story. It appears from the story that this 34 year old man was an active gang member with more arrests and felony charges than this age. It is probably safe to assume the other 3 siblings had similar careers. Doesn’t the mother bear some responsibility for the fate of her children.
