Rove Signs Multi-Year Deal with FOX News

This ought to be worth a few more simoleons:
Fox News Channel is expected to announce shortly that Karl Rove has signed a multi-year deal to remain a Fox contributor through the 2016 election.
The contract assures the ratings-leader cable news network that it will retain one of its most popular commentators, and someone whose views continually make news, especially in the heat of a campaign.
He’ll also be producing and hosting a multipart series called “How to Destroy a Major Party You Supposedly Are a Member Of For Fun and Profit.”

There’s a reason we watch Fox with the sound off most of the time. I’m ready for a channel that has a Judge Andrew but no Colmes, Juan, or Beckel. Put Michelle Malkin against Pompous Bill and see who gets the ratings. If Fox didn’t have the smart blonde babes, well…
“Gag me” Rove is another reason to purge the Republicans from office along w/ the other toilet party. I was gobsmacked by O’Reilly’s hypocritical take on the odorous sale of OwlGore’s TeeVee Channel to the Arabs when old man Murdough has sold a good bit of Fox and affiliate stock to a Saudi Prince.
I don’t watch Fox News or any other television, but am able to follow many threads of arguments online in news stories and blogs. I read Karl Rove’s column occasionally in the WSJ, so between all of that I am reasonably familiar with Rove’s commentary and results.
I can’t say I have ever heard him make a single observation that struck me as interesting or unexpected, or an intriguing perspective. He’s the ultimate conventional wisdom party operative hack, and seriously out of touch with the wider world and his own party’s base, much less the independents and low-information types who need to be persuaded to vote for his party. He’s the past, and a failing past at that.
Then again, what I know of Fox News is not impressive to me, it seems to be niche programming thriving on an underserved part of the news and commentary market, although the news side seems to be more useful than the more widely discussed commentary showboaters.
