That’s Not What I Thought They Meant by Single Payer
More on the Democrats’ War on Women:
The requirement for employers to provide health benefits to employees is a cornerstone of the new law, but the new rules proposed by the Internal Revenue Service said that employers’ obligation was to provide affordable insurance to cover their full-time employees. The rules offer no guarantee of affordable insurance for a worker’s children or spouse. To avoid a possible tax penalty, the government said, employers with 50 or more full-time employees must offer affordable coverage to those employees. But, it said, the meaning of “affordable” depends entirely on the cost of individual coverage for the employee, what the worker would pay for “self-only coverage.”
The new rules, to be published in the Federal Register, create a strong incentive for employers to put money into insurance for their employees rather than dependents.
Sandra Fluke will free birth control provided by the Catholic Church by mandate, but stay-at-home moms are going to be hit hard by ObamaCare.

I liked Instapundit’s comment on this story: “So under the Affordable Care Act, care doesn’t have to actually be, you know, affordable. Gotcha.”
Well that’s the point, isn’t it? To make traditional employer-provided and individual insurance unaffordable, so as to force as many people as possible onto the exchanges?
Naturally, once they’re in the exchanges, they’ll vote for the Washington sugar-daddies that promise to make their benefits ever richer. At least, that’s the theory.
Isn’t there also now a strong incentive for employers to avoid risking their precious capital on new hires? Especially if those potential new hires have families?
What about my dream to be an Employer, not an Employee?
What say you, Affordable Care Act?
Shut up and take your “benefits,” prole.
Stay at home moms are more likely to vote for Republicans, so hurting them is a bonus to Democrats. They only care about “real women” who work outside the home or are welfare dependents.
The Banking Bill is also against SAHM – or is it just people who are married?
SAHMs can’t get credit cards using their husband’s income.
The Stupid Party remains stupid.
