Oh, Groupon — you do make me laugh so. And Ed Norton — what happened to your career?

Groupon and Norton (really?) have teamed up with exciting Earth Day specials, just for you! I grabbed a screenshot of the top of the email.

I won’t say a thing about Norton’s grimacing face with the party hat photoshopped on top of it at that rakish angle. No, I’m far too kind this morning to do that. But I would like to draw your attention to Groupon’s proud announcement that the Earth is celebrating its 400th birthday.

Even the “young earth” Creationists are willing to grant our home about 6,000 years. According to Groupon — and party hat boy Ed Norton — the earth was born a good century or more after Shakespeare wrote Macbeth.

Now that’s a man ahead of his time.
