Night of the Living Left

I apologize in advance for this week’s Hair of the Dog, but watching the mainstream media feed on the corpse of Trayvon Martin put me in quite a mood.
You’ll love it or hate it.

Thanks, Steve. Some years ago I lost the ability to watch those shows. It seems they’re even more idiotic tba when I gave up. You deserve combat pay.
Stupid smart phone, tba=than
JJ must be getting old, seems Sharpy beat him off the mark.
Recently (as in this last week) in Tulsa OK a young black male broke into a home, beat up the 90 yo white guy, and then proceeded to rape and murder his wife. Hear anything from the race pimps? Beuller?
Forget guns, we need laws regulating Cokie Roberts’ stupidity. I swear I lost 10 IQ points watching her flap her gums. Only in journalism would someone so ignorant be able to have such a long career.
From what I’ve been reading, I think it’s clear that Zimmerman was playing cops and robbers and this kid happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. There may have been a fight involved, but Zimmerman started it by following the kid who at the time wasn’t doing anything wrong. He should have followed the dispatcher’s advice and stayed in the car.
That being said, this situation does not need Spike Lee, Al Sharpton, or the New Black Panther Party involved. All we have here is one dumb ass killing an (at the time) innocent kid, end of story. This isn’t about “stand your ground” or legal gun ownership. It’s also not about race relations in America (except that some race-baiters miss being in the limelight since Obama got elected). It’s about how stupidity can kill. But yes, the left trying to make it about their favorite bug-a-boos is not surprising.
No. This 6’2″ 200+ lb. gangbanger jumped him when caught innocently casing or burglarizing his neighborhood, is beating the living out of him, he pops a cap in self-defense, happens to be a kill shot.
Police grill him 5 hours, let him go get medical treatment, self defense, no charges. He was defending where he lives.
It’s an attack on Castle doctrine and a collabo media opportunity-
“The Jews killed Obama’s son!”
He was following the kid, who wasn’t doing anything wrong. I’m sure there was a fight (if you follow me on my way back to the store, you and I are going to have words), but Zimmerman GOT OUT OF HIS CAR to see where the kid was going. This despite the advice from the dispatcher not to do that.
The fact that the Left insists on feeding on this kid’s dead body does not mean that Zimmerman was right. That the usual suspects show up to plunder the tragic death of a teenager does not mean Zimmerman didn’t behave like a dumb ass. I think we should all take a breather and let the justice system handle this. If there is a case to be made, I’m sure the D.A. will make it.
BTW, the kid was 150 lbs, not 200. Zimmerman had 50 lbs on him and was carrying a gun. The kid was walking home from a 7-11, Zimmerman (the wanna-be cop) was the one who decided he was “acting suspicious”. By following the kid, he was starting a confrontation , whether he meant to or not. Civilians do not follow other civilians without someone getting pissed off. If you are not a cop (or my wife), my general answer to “what are you doing?” is “it’s none of your damn business!” Following someone sounds like a great way to get a bloody nose.
It’s a free country. I’m free to follow you through public spaces, or even semi-public (such as unfenced yards). If you want to have words over that it’s OK. If you want to punch me in the nose, that’s assault. If you start pounding my head into the sidewalk, you’re trying to kill me and I’m going to shoot you. Whoever threw the first punch bears the moral responsibility for Martin’s death.
Now, it’s possible that Zimmerman threw the first punch out of anger over a “punk” giving him lip, but I have yet to see any evidence of such a thing happening. Instead all the pro-charges group has provided is a train of thought (it’s probably generous to call this mishmash of assumption, ignorance, outrage, and wishful thinking “thought”) that would embarrass a 5-year old.
You are also free to walk into any ethnically homogeneous bar and scream epitaphs about the ethnic group if you like, but don’t be surprised if the patrons of the establishment offer you some negative reinforcement for such behavior. Having the right to do something is not the same as that something being a good idea. If you act like an ass, people aren’t likely to treat you well.
Again, the kid was just walking home. Zimmerman had no business following him. He was even advised by the dispatcher not to do it. Yet he got out of his car and did it anyway. In other words, Zimmerman initiated the confrontation. The kid was simply reacting to a big guy (with a gun which may have been visible) following him. At that point, he had as much right to claim self defense as Zimmerman.
Every single stupid thing you’ve said is mere conjecture, and your conclusions are unfounded.
I can walk into a bar full of whatevers and call them names. If they punch me, they go to jail, unless I actually threatened them.
If Zimmerman was hunting humans, why did he call the police? That would be too stupid, but maybe not for you.
According to the Daily Beast Zimmerman called 911 a total of 46 times since 2004, not this year.
A serious show was much needed in this case. The absurdity surrounding this story deserves fear and anger instead of bemused contempt. Thanks for treating this with the gravity it deserves.
Well done Stephen.
