OK, Be a Little Evil
Or at least be a little creepy:
The patent discusses the technology to analyze the background noise during your phone call and serve up ads for you based on the environmental conditions Google picks up on. Yeah, that’s creepy.
While Google isn’t technically “listening” to your calls, meaning there isn’t someone on the other line listening to your conversation, the fact that the company could unleash technology that monitors our calls in real-time is weird.
Weird? Yeah — but mostly creepy.
In its heyday, Microsoft was huge and always trying to wring a buck out of you. And it was famous (infamous?) for using its brutish strength to have it way with new markets. But Google is going far, far beyond that.

But they mean well… And they’ve pledged to do good and they believe in global warming and most of them have been educated in elite schools with their attendant non-technical faculty brainwashing them, and of course they voted for Obama.
Everyone worries about NSA monitoring their phone calls and emails looking for danger, yet here is a big company doing it for money. Wonder which organization is better at it?
One used to be able to comment on blogspot sites with a valid email address, now they want you to give your phone number, then send you a password. Meaning they are tracking your every phone call. That’s why Google is a liberal darling, otherwise it would be “investigated” by the NYT, the WaPo, and a few state attorneys for its creepy Big Brotherhood. Bet they are sharing their findings with the Dems.
Google was originally a CIA project developed at MIT.
Does that tell ya somehthin’?
Goodbye anonymity, you were fun while you lasted. Of course I have a dumb cellphone.
They just promised not to be evil. Never said anything about creepy.
Have we already forgotten the creepy patent that Apple revealed recently?
I forsee a market for noisemaking gadgets to (at least attempt) to fool systems like this. Let’s see, buttons for “subway platform,” “wild party,” “at the beach,” “NASCAR race”…
