Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

I just spent 90 minutes this morning writing a column — yes, an entire column — about Steak ‘n’ Shake. That’s not inherently stupid, but it’s extremely stupid to do it on a day when I have no chance at all of driving up to Denver to grab a triple steakburger for lunch.
Anyway, I’m waiting to hear from Ed Driscoll if he wants it for the PJ Lifestyle blog. If not, I’ll post it here shortly.
Anyone willing to run down here from Centennial with a Takehomeasack of triple steakburger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mustard, with large fries, a cup of chili, and a chocolate shake?

willing? sure.
able? not so much.
Heh. I’ll get right on that.
That does sound rather tasty, now that you mention it. I think I might go to 5 Guys for lunch….
Shouldn’t that be “Takhomasak”? I had almost forgotten you’re a Midwesterner by birth.
Nukem, 5 Guys is all right if it’s the best you can do, but neither it nor In ‘N Out are ANYTHING like Steak ‘n Shake.
5 Guys is pretty much the best we’ve got in the Baltimore area. The meat quality is really pretty good. And the veggies are fresh, which counts for a lot in my book.
I’ll look up SnS. Maybe there’s something in the area. I’m always up for a new burger experience.
Great. Thanks a lot, Stephen. I *was* going to have a healthy salad for dinner. Now I’m planning to run downtown and pick up burgers, fries, and fantabulous shakes for the family (I think I even have S&S coupons on the ‘fridge!) Darn you, Stephen. Darn you! ::grin::
It’s what I do.
Blech, swill. Portillo’s is better. Culver’s is better.
