Steak ‘n Shake is coming to your neighborhood, and I can think of five guys who ought to be nervous.
Wait! Fast Food that tastes good? You can just buy this, from you car? We need to put a stop to this!
Are kids allowed to eat this? Are there any Steak and Shakes within 1000 yards of an schools? ( ** – see below) Isnt there some sort of regulation that requires some form of consumer warning on the door? What will happen to all the older legacy vendors now? Don’t we need some form of consumer protection here to ensure that the jobs of people working at McDonalds and Burger King are protected from “Predatory Food Vendors”. Do they publish the caloric content so people can make informed choices? If so, why do people keep on insisting on eating it. Clearly this is evidence that there is some form of subliminal advertising here, else why would an informed consumer choose to buy it…THEY SERVE FRIES!!!
We need a congressional investigation. And an injunction. Right Away!
Dayamn. Pavlov, ring that bell!
The closest to Baltimore appears to be in Fredericksburg, VA. So that’d be every bit of your 8-hour one-way drive.
Not gonna happen at this point. My back would never let me hear the end of it.
But I do venture down to the Carolinas every-once-in-a-while. So I may just have to take a slight detour during one of my trips. Sounds to be well worth it.
Good article. Glad PJM picked it up. Now you’ve got lunch money for your next trip to SnS!
In north-east Ohio we have both Steak & Shakes and 5 Guys. I hit up 5 guys maybe twice a month. I’ll go to S&S about once a year, because someone else wants to go.
Of course, tastes differ…
Tally has had steak & shake longer than I’ve been here, but just got 5 guys I think I hit S&S once last year but I’ve. Hit 5 guys twice already this month…. the homemade fries make the difference
It’s true, the fries are Steak n’ Shake’s weakness. But if I ordered fries, I wouldn’t have room for chili 3 ways along with my delicious burger…
As an aside, isn’t nice to be talking about the important things in life for a change, instead of politics?
We’ve got an S&S a mile to both the east and west of us, and while I like them just fine, what we don’t have–and sorely need–is an In-N-Out.
Spent three days in Phoenix last week, and went to the Tempe I&O TWICE. Nothing wrong with a steakburger, but give me an Animal Style Double-Double any day…
Oh, and Martini Boy: you still have to make it back this way for a burger at Ann’s Snack Bar before she retires. There really is no substitute:
