Making the Crime Fit the Punishment

Does “Anonymous” have Facebook in its sights? Looks like it:
According to a new video posted on Monday, Anonymous now aims to take down Facebook. It in unclear as to why Facebook is the group’s new target; while the video mentions SOPA as part of its reason for the attack, Facebook openly opposed the controversial bill. In the past, Anonymous has listed potential targets as the United Nations, Xbox Live, U.S. Bank, Twitter and YouTube.
Can’t they just go after Facebook because it sucks?

I’m very suspicious of “Anonymous.” I doubt they are real anarchists, more likely stalking horse communists.
The thing to remember is that this video could easily have been made by one bored college kid. Anonymous is a literal descriptor – you have no idea if this is real, a prank, or just a single retard. Likewise, statements like “they’re stalking horse communists” just sound weird to me. It’s a bunch of /b/tards who chill in IRC channels and feel annoyed that the world isn’t run by their brand of aspie neckbeards. Their politics are the politics of 20 year old nerds everywhere – tech freedom above all, social freedom is nice, and on economics the usual hash of half-considered socialism college kids always go for.
Why would “Anonymous” target Facebook?
Maybe because Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s marketing and founder Mark Zuckerberg’s sister has argued for the end of on-line anonymity?
Besides, they’re putzes.
They’re doing it because they’re immature little twerps who need to be slammed against a brick wall a few times until they learn their lessons.
