Great, I’ve got to give up baseball and football, and go with hockey and (ugh) basketball?

GoDaddy, huh? Fifth column…
According to Cnet, GoDaddy has reversed itself after a rather large number of clients with rather a large number of domains began threatening to move their accounts.
They then substantially “qualified” their reversal and disappeared all of their previous commentary on the subject.

In other words, they still support the idea to the extent that it doesn’t cost them customers. GoDaddy has a bit of a history of supporting some of the more oppressive government enforcement actions against alleged copyright infringement, including shutting down domains of innocent users falsely accused of IP theft. I’ve been steering clear of them for quite some time now.

SOPA allows free for all censorship of the internet similar to that used by China, Iran and most of the middle east in order to silence critics of the regime (those who oppose endless Wall Street bailouts, anyone who refuses to carry water for Obama and his cronies and or objects to their lawlessness, corruption and hatred of America) under the guise of “copyright violations” and advance the interests of the connected over those who are not.
We are now back to unaccountable “star courts”, King George III would be proud.
Police state censorship combined with corrupt state fascism is a recipe for poverty and tyranny.
But that seems to be the Obama game plan.
Know your enemy. The first, and most important rule of warfare. Make no mistake the Obama Administration, culmination of the plans begun in the “revolution of the 1960s” in the “Democratic” Party, is at war with the American People, without pretense of their hatred of America and her People. Obama and his troops know their enemy, that sleeping tiger, essentially well-meaning, trustful of their government do not accept deliberately destructive malice in those they elected to guard their nation. Guardians instead determined to ruin that nation. Signal their intent daily, pitting citizen against citizen along class, gender, racial and religious lines and unlawful extensions of the powers of the Executive and the offices of government.
This administration throws down the gauntlet daily, DARING the representatives of the sovereign citizens to do their job to guard the nation from her enemies. This administration via tenure in Harvard and Yale Law schools and the US Congress knows representatives of the people to be craven, self-serving,and use the distress of the nation for self-aggrandisement and personal advantage. And that the self-governing, law-abiding citizens wait for the chance in the election of 2010 to have voice.
Not realising, or refusing to believe the damage done actively and exponentially by these vandals and their troops while the population is diverted by envy encouraged by these vandals: using that primary method, that old black magic impelling their enemy to fight one another, taking their eyes off the ball.
Two men who knew machinations of power lusting criminal psychopaths: Marcus Tullius Cicero’s comments re treason, and Benjamin Franklin, “We must all hang together or most assuredly we SHALL all hang seperately”.
Concisely: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I really hope people remember that when the usual “this candidate isn’t my ideal so I’m not going to vote” nonsense inevitably starts. If people don’t remember what that mindset brought us four short years ago, we are very screwed. If they do. Well, I for one welcome the forthcoming golden age of humanity.
The enemy of my enemy is the enemy of my enemy, nothing more, nothing less.
This “we must defeat the Democrats at all costs” mentality is the root of the progressive takeover of the Republican party. I mean, seriously, stand back for a moment and take a look. We are in the midst of one of the strongest grass-roots revolts against big government in nearly a century, and two of the top three Republican candidates have both supported full-blown socialized medicine and virtually unlimited bailouts of banks and Wall Street, and even foreign currencies (well, there have been some election year flip-flops that will fool the people who have the wrong number of chromosomes).
The Washington establishment – in both parties – wants the progressive march towards socialism / corporatism. The only substantive difference is in whether the spoils are shared with unions, welfare leaches, and which combination of politically-connected businesses. They get away with this because they know that there are tens of millions of suckers out there who are so terrified of the “wrong” party winning that they’ll vote for expanding the pot of power grabbed by their own team. The pot of power that’s fought over every 2 / 4 / 6 years gets bigger and bigger and the fights get uglier and uglier.
If you abandon your party temporarily, yeah, you’ll get a bigger negative result in the short term. But if you insist on mindless, unwavering loyalty you wind up at the same destination – just by a slightly different route. The only thing either party really fears is loss of power. That’s the only threat you hold over their head. If you refuse to exercise that threat on occasion, they own you. You may think you’re fighting some sort of fight, but in the end you’re just a tool that will be broken and discarded when they’re done with you.

An immoral people will abuse their freedoms. Abuse them, lose them. Online piracy is rife. Here’s the smallest example. There are online ads for some “Diet secret exposed” or whatever. They show this picture of this pretty, French broadcaster to draw attention to their ad. I seriously doubt they are paying for the use of her visage. She is a public figure. Part of how she makes her money is her face. You do not get to use her face for your product without her approval, but people think nothing of doing so.
So, intellectual theft is rife. Thus, support appears for the government to steal your freedom. Without people infringing on other people’s rights, and stealing their property, the government cannot make a move. There would be no support. When we act immorally, we open the door to the tyrants in government.
Freedom: Abuse it; Lose it.
