What? They didn’t fine the state for putting in the wrong figures? I can recall filling out fed forms where if you put the figure on the wrong line there was a $10,000 or $15,000 fine for makeing the poor fed worker work. How come New Jersy gets a break?
This is awesome. Exactly what so many Americans have been thinking for so long about the bureaucratic structure in Washington, and I also think it’s great that he has actual…perspective!…on whether or not it is fair to scapegoat an employee for a trivial mistake that should have been easily corrected.
If anyone gets fired, it should be the drone who let $400 million hang on a paperwork error.
I think it has since turned out that the story about the interview process told by the education head was a false one and he’s been asked to resign/fired by Cristie.
Robin; cites, please? Rumors and innuendos are cheap, but facts are priceless.
As for Governor Christie, I have to respect any man who ways “If you wanna take shots, take shots at me.” I think that Louis Quatorze-wannabee Barry should be taking notes.
A friend of mine who lives in New Jersey confirmed last night that Christie did later fire the Education Commissioner. My friend told me that Christie makes great soundbites, but that he’s just another wishy-washy, pragmatic, and even Democrat-leaning Republican.
Evidence? How about the fact that he’s aggressively pushing the environmentalist agenda in New Jersey, such as advocating for a state version of cap and trade and trying to build off-shore wind mills.
In other words, this guy talks like Reagan and acts like Clinton or W in his actual domestic policies. We definitely don’t need that!
So refreshing. Surely do wish we had more like him.
GAWD I’d love to see him debate Obama. Or Hillary.

Re;”…don’t need that.” True. Sad that he ain’t the real deal. We need a “talk-walker”. We need one so badly.
