Let’s see. It’s a $41K car, so only the richest and most self righteous among us will own one. On the other hand, there is a $7,500 tax credit for it, so that grocery clerk (the single mother with 2 kids) down the street gets subsidize the deal out of her taxes. Why does this seem like the perfect metaphor for the lovely bunch of elitist scum we are now stuck with?
