Unfortunately, GOP insiders think elections are a single elimination tournament. When you get a history of losing elections, you get demerits in future considerations.
Given how many cards were evidently stacked against Scott going into this thing, getting within less than a thousand votes of booting that jackass is a great accomplishment. Especially considering that he spent a fifth of what the incumbent spent. Well done sir.
