umm… since Democrats have run for office…
Reminds me of a quote from P.J. O’Rourke when asked what he said one about Hillary Clinton. To paraphrase, he said “I did the meanest thing I could think of. I told the truth.”
Because (as the old leftist adage goes) there is no truth but socialist truth. Therefore, any fact that is in oppotion to the party line can’t be a real fact but a “lie.”
