Voting With My Wallet
Here’s my bias.
I know Scott Ott. I work with Scott Ott. I think Scott Ott is — although he’d disagree with my language — one hell of a good guy. So even though I don’t live anywhere near Lehigh County, PA, I just made my third donation to Scott’s campaign to be elected County Executive.
Maybe putting another $50 in the kitty isn’t a huge deal, but it sure would help if each of you would throw in half that, or even just ten bucks.
There are damn few real small-government idealists running for office at any level, anywhere. Support it where you find it, that’s what I believe. Scott’s one of those guys, and could use your help, too.

I love you guys, and lived for most of my life in Allentown. If I had five bucks to spare I’d send it to him to help stop the leftist insanity that has taken one of the states best cities and turned it into a near free-fire zone. But the leftist insanity has kept me from making that five bucks. This year I’ll be voting, but, unlike last year, I’ll not quiet about for who or why. I hope that will help do the job.
Done!
I think I might have put him over the 5K too!
Thanks for the reminder.
Done! second contribution for me… hope he wins. I’d vote for him but I live in another state…. Hey! maybe ACORN could help me out… just kidding.
Steve, Sally, Athena and Lazarus,
Thanks for the encouragement and the help. We did, indeed, cross the 5k line last night thanks to a homemaker in Carslbad, CA.
I’m hoping that candidates from among “we the people” across the nation step up and run for office so that we can put this monster back in its cage.
Scott
There is something in the air here in the bitter, gun clinging hinterlands of PA.
I’m a couple hours away from Scott (but I have contribued to him!). We’ve got two guys running for local office with the express intent of abolishing their postions if elected. One is running under the D banner, one under the R.

Done – not able to be as generous as in previous years – like Lazarus, this economy has been taking a toll on my pocketbook – but glad to give something.
