Tax THIS!

Under the Obama Plan, 95% of Americans won’t pay higher taxes, except for the ones who buy stuff.
I’d be happy to switch to a consumption tax and abolish the income tax. But, no — we’d likely get both.
It would have to be a constitutional amendment, something along the lines of
1) 16th amendment is hereby repealed.
2) Congress does not have the authority to level a tax on income
3) Congress is authorized to level a tax (5%) on goods & services, excluding food, clothing, primary residential real estate and medical care.
