This is nearly a week late, but I just read that Henry Gibson died. Most will remember him from… pretty much everything, it seemed.

Or more likely, it’s a great minds think alike kind of thing…
His favorite role of mine was in an HBO movie MANY years ago, called “Long Gone” ~ only the second finest baseball movie EH-VAH, mind you (“The Natural” is first, obviously). He played Hale Buchman, the small owner of a small, local department store and small part-owner (with his son,”Jr”, played by Teller)(Yes, THAT Teller, in a speaking part, no less) of the TAMPICO STOGIES.
He was great.
