Oh, Grow Up
It’s really getting old harping on the President all the time, and I hope I don’t become an ODS sufferer. But…
Look. Obama enjoys personal popularity. His party is up by 70 seats in the House and the Democrats have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. And why can’t the President get his plans passed? Why isn’t the “long, slow, deep, soft, wet stimulus that last three years” stimulating anything? Why is investor confidence still in the can? Why are banks afraid to lend money, while they sit on record amounts of cash?
One word: “Republicans.”
Dude, my three year old whines less when we won’t let him have Oreos for breakfast.

Yeah, lame. It’s like the leader of the most powerful nation on earth decided he had to stoop to picking on some radio host or something…
Oh, wait.
I seriously wonder how Obama’s going to handle it when his contemptability numbers overtake his likability numbers. He seems to have coasted pretty much his entire adult life, relying on others to see in him what they wanted to see and surfing on the adulation. When no one’s tingling anymore, what does he do?
You can always tell when some journalist doesn’t even know any Republicans: when they trot out “Rush Limbaugh” as a prime feature of what they believe Republicans stand for.
It’s like “Jerry the Republican Vampire” on the show Mission Hill: “I follow Marilyn Manson, but I obey Rush Limbaugh.” Yeah: that sounds totally authentic, writer guy.
I noticed that, too, Brian. Everything is Rush’s fault! As if the GOP takes their marching orders from him. And again, the dems make a point of mentioning him by name.
I don’t listen to the man myself, but I can see Rush chuckling to himself, saying “hey, thanks for the free advertising…”
Boo hoo hoo. Actually I’m looking forward to Mr Pop Culture POTS’s inevitable celebutarde breakdown. Will it be a sex tape, rehab, or a Britney-esque all out bashit crazy shaved head extravaganza!!!
Well, I was going to post a link to the YouTube video that showed multiple Congressional Democrats obfuscating and putting up blustery defenses of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a few years ago.
If you Google ‘Democrats Fannie Mae’, the first YouTube link that pops up, which is for the Congressional hearings, and click on it, YouTube informs that the video has been removed for “Terms of Use Violations”.
Is friggin’ C-SPAN copyrighted material that would warrant removal from YouTube? Somehow, that makes little sense to me.
Oreos for breakfast, now that’s a Health Plan I can support.
you won’t let him have oreos for breakfast? somebody is going to call child welfare on you.
