Late to the Wake

February 20, 2009 - 12:36 pm - by Stephen Green

I had no idea Lux Interior died a couple weeks ago, or that the lead singer of The Cramps was anywhere near 62 years old.

Here’s a fitting tribute to the man and the band and their best album.

Uh, wow? That would definitely be an acquired taste, I guess. Other than giving a whole new meaning to the term “throat mike”, I will say that it takes balls to climb the PA stack in nothing but a bikini and pumps. Particularly if you’re a guy.

    Faster pussycat was entertaining, though.

Saw them live once, and it was an amazing experience. He wore leather pants and bright red pumps that night, and it was good.

“96 tears and 96 eyes” right atcha, Lux.
