Wow. Whatever the new bug is, it’s not fun. You know you’re sick when you put on a heavy robe and long underwear to get in to bed. Better today, thankfully. Just can’t wait (probably March) when the new endocrinologist decides to go ahead and kill off my thyroid. ‘Cause this whole extra-susceptibility-to-colds-and-flu thing is driving me nuts.

Get better soon. Have the missus make chicken noodle soup and hot toddys.
I’m just about over an ugly cold myself (started as a head cold Monday, went to the chest Wednesday, sore throat Friday, and can’t quite shake the phlegm).
My 18 year old son was diagnosed with Graves 2 years ago and is still working on going into remission. I feel for you.
Stephen, it’s not just your thyroid condition. People hereabouts are coming down with two or three nasty strains of flu that just hang on for days on end. The intestinal one that means no eating for about three days, while the body aches move from joint to joint and the chills come and go is especially prevalent, knocking down a lot of folks.
Get better quickly, guy.
I wish you well, VP.
I wish you well, too.
I made the mistake of getting on an airplane for Christmas. The bug I picked up laid me low for some 6 weeks. And I even had a ‘flu shot’ this fall.
Your thyroid thing though: you live in the US, why hasn’t it been dealt with already. I can see it carrying on for months and years in Canada. But the US?
Not for long, heathermc. Our access to health care is something The One will be curbing in his “stimulus” plan.

I blame it on your lack of shots during the blogger bash.
Thor the Great Booze God has showered you with his disappointment.
I think Zombyboy is right — you’re sick because you didn’t get your shots.
Nice. Very nice.
zombyboy’s right, it is very important to thoroughly disinfect the throat and stomach at bashes.
Otherwise, you might catch something.
