Barack Obama has decided that in order to get an income tax break, maybe you ought to have an income.
With that kind of requirement, maybe instead of only 95% of Americans paying less taxes he can get that number up in the 102-103% range.
VP, last year I paid $2K income tax. $80K family, coupla kids, wife’s tiny home business.
I’ll get a $4K tax credit under O!, from what I can tell. Simple arithmetic: I’ll have a negative tax burden of -$2K under O! unless I start earning more/wife’s business improves. A check for $2K coming to me every April 15th, and no income tax to pay anymore.
In other words, I’m going on welfare.
Where should I donate the $4K? It isn’t mine. It’s some small businessman’s. Or medium, etc.
I thought it was hilarious when the McCain guy said “when did this change?” and the Obama guy says “oh, a couple of weeks ago”.
I guess they just forgot to let anyone know about it.
Either that, or the Obama campaign is just pulling stuff out of their hats whenever it’s convenient.
I’m going with #2.
