Nice Work If You Can Get It

For the first time, Rasmussen has Obama polling at over 50% support, and his favorable ratings are killing McCain’s.
Now we know what a compliant press can buy you.

I don’t think it was just a compliant press – it seems to me more a case of the Obama campaign getting incredibly lucky and having the Wall Street mess fall into its lap. If hard economic times are murder on the incumbent party’s candidate, a potentially catastrophic economic crisis has to be a complete campaign-crusher.
I hate to say it’s already curtains for McCain, but… let me just put it this way: If Obama somehow manages to lose in November, in spite of having the MSM in his tank and having won fate’s lottery with the financial meltdown, neither he nor any of his fellow Democrats will ever, ever, EV-VER be able to live down the disgrace of it.
McCain needs to start hitting Obama HARD on Obama’s socialist leanings.
Hell, use the fact that Sweden is lowering taxes across the board to spur economic growth. They just don’t get it… but McCain still has time to educate the masses, if he gets a’ jumpin’.
It’s not quite time to start mixing the poison Kool-Aid, but I have started to gather the ingredients.
Hate to say “I told you so”, but….
Nahhh. Who’m I kidding? I love saying it!
Frankly, I wish I were wrong on this one, but I am not surprised at all. McCain lost this last Friday when he didn’t put Obama out to pasture. The economic situation was just icing on the cake for the Obama campaign.
And there are key Senate races that are beginning to swing to the Dems. We’re looking at a possible filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, gang. That bodes ill for the Republic.
