Watching the video I got a hint of why the republicans aren’t making this the number one campaign issue.
No one wants to be accused of racism. No matter how right you might be on an issue, if the racism charge gains traction your political career is dead. Unless you’re a Democrat, of course.
Walter, I’m sure you are correct. I think it should be used anyway. It is ultimately more racist to allow those who willfully continued this mess because it helped their political reputation at the time.
They did not have the welfare of the country at heart nor the welfare of their constituents, who are now stuck in this mess too.
These are their words. Let them speak. If it’s to be a level playing field, why build trench where they can hide?
There are also some clips circulating of McCain testifying at those Fannie/Freddie hearings that make him look downright prescient. Watching the debate, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why he didn’t refer to these.
Now we will probably get an administration and legislation based on the false premise that the subprime meltdown was caused by “free markets run amok.” It truly is bizzaro world we live in.
This is just one of the videos and stories circulating the internet, proving beyond doubt where the blame for this mess should lie.
Yet Obama keeps going up in the polls because the media (with the exception of FOX) is assiduously not reporting the truth, as they have done and continue to do in anything that might possibly harm Obama & the Dems chances of a clean sweep in this election.
