The Lesser Evil

I bought a whole bunch of these bumper stickers last week, and the profits go to Soldiers’ Angels.
You can get yours at Freedom Sight — but hurry, as supplies are limited.

You think the bumper sticker will work ?
I’m thinking the only way to convince truly rational souls to swallow their pride and vote for McCain is to get them hammered before going to the polls.
And even hammered I don’t think I could vote for the man.
Doug –
I’m pretty sure I’ll throw away my vote on Bob Barr. Or maybe Bill & Opus, if they’re running again this year.
Hey Steve,
Thanks for the link.
I respect ideological purism, but let’s get real here. Not everyone who voted for Ronald Reagan thought he was perfect. Some thought that he was the lesser evil. There are two(and only two) candidates running with a snowballs’ chance of winning this year. Which one is least objectionable? That’s the one I vote for almost every time.
My bumper sports a home-made magnet that says simply “1.20.2009.”
I’ve lost interest in who the next president might be. I’m just looking forward to the day that The Current Occupant will be gone.
On my blog I painted McCain as the Dunkirk candidate. The ideal candidate is a D-Day candidate, who will lead a major campaign against a vast array of destructive policies. Instead of that we have to vote for loss minimization – to “salvage what we can this year, and prepare for a decent fight with or without President McCain’s help one or two Congressional elections from now.”
You know I’m totally voting for Obama, but I may just have to buy a bunch of these anyway. Damn Jed, and his being way too hysterical for words.
