Can You Think of Another?

It strikes me that Tony Snow might have been the only fundamentally decent man ever to have held the job of White House Press Secretary.

A man of decency and class across the board from everything I’ve heard. He’ll be missed.
When I am president, Rush Limbaugh will be my press secretary.
Failing that, I’ll try for a modern-day re-incarnation of Vlad the Impaler.
No dumb questions! Or else!
The most decent and one of the most competent. As I noted the other day, “I can’t help but think that the Bush Administration would have been far, far more effective at communications and public relations if Tony Snow had been there from the beginning, instead of the inept and disloyal Scott McClellan.”
You know how good he was when the AP went after him after his untimely and tragic death.
Tony was a really nice guy, so it was not personality. Rather it was because he was so effective the AP considered him the enemy.
In a way no better complement.
I’ll stick up for Ari Fleischer. He seemed fundamentally decent to me.
I read his book and he was much nicer than the DC press corps deserved.
Good point, Joe; I hadn’t thought about that.

Personally, I wish President Bush would appoint R. Lee Ermey as press secretary for the remainder of his term. Him, or Don Rumsfeld.
Larry J,
Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, or his doppelgaenger, the Rumsfeld Strangler, a charachter in Frank J.’s IMAO series “In My Word”??
Oops, I meant “In My World.” When the Rumsfeld Strangler conducted a news conference, a reporter’s life could be forfeited for any reason at all.
I’ll Strangler you good Bloodthirsty Warmonger, I need no reason to kill a reporter.
