Still Here

Went to the Avalanche game last night, and now I’m sad. We’re down three games against Detroit, so this series is pretty much over.
Other than that, a quiet morning. Just have to ship a lens, put a camera body up for sale, and get Melissa’s laptop into the shop for a new screen (or at least a new backlight). OK, so maybe it’s not such a quiet morning.
Back in a bit.

What’s the camera body you’re looking to unload? I’ve got a Canon Rebel XT, but am looking to upgrade.
I’d like to say I feel your pain regarding the Avs. I’d like to, but I’m a Wings fan, so I’d be lying. I have a friend who’s a Sharks fan. Sucks to be him right now, too. Well, onward to Dallas. Go Wings!
Jeez do I feel your pain. I’m a Montreal Canadiens fan (I was raised there till I was 15). Top seeded team and we’re down 3-1 to the the freaking Flyers. GADS what I’d give for some decent goal tending.
Tis a shame indeed. I remember compromising my next day’s job performance watching the Av’s first cup (trivia quiz: who broke that overtime tie with his nearly blueline slapshot? hint: he is German.) The next one wasn’t the Av’s win so much as Ray Bourque’s much deserved Stanley Cup.
Alas we now have a very good team, but like all also-ran’s, totally lacking passion.
I sure hope the Rockies don’t rely upon last years’ laurels and complete the trifecta of “well, we were once good.”
I feel your pain. I’m a Sharks fan myself. They managed to keep themselves in the playoffs for at least one more game tho with tonight’s win. GO SHARKS!
I’m married to a rabid Red Wings fan; my team of choice had the audacity not to be formed until 1970, so I hear no end of Original Six snobbery. It’s a good year for the Wings, though I thought the Avalanche would put up more of a fight. Between a few scrums and Forsberg’s bloody attempt at amateur dentistry, they seemed distracted and defensive. Looking forward to tonight’s match!
GO WINGS!
