PJM wanted a column on the rice shortage this morning, so I got out my handy Google and wrote one. With a two-year-old attached to my second-favorite elbow. I’ll link as soon as it’s posted.
Meanwhile, I’m going to scan the headlines and see if there’s anything fun to blog about today. And maybe do some research on how to detach a toddler from my arm.

I don’t know how you blog with a toddler around. When mine is around, I’m on the floor, getting nothing “useful” done, but having a great time.
Believe me, it’s not just blogging that suffers. But the enjoyment factor does seem to increase rather substantially.
Steve, do you ever hesitate about blogging about the kid? Or posting pictures of him? I had posted some pictures of the twins a few years ago (they were one or two, if I remember correctly), and then all the stupidness occurred around Satch with Jeff Goldstein. I finally decided to pull the pictures when I started getting blog hits off of searches like “Cute Kids”, or somesuch.
Definitely weirded me out. It sucks, because I want to post pictures for the rest of the family. I just don’t know if it’s worth the risk.
Thoughts?
Speaking of rice. What are Hillary and Obama going to do about Big Rice? Obviously, rice growers are now making extreme profits, based on the increased demand for their products. Given the Democratic mantra of “punish those companies who make or distribute products that people actually want to buy”, I’m looking for proposals for windfall profits taxes and Congressional committee hearings soon.
Yes, I am a bit bored today.
If you hang your arm out the car window and back out of the garage really fast, sometimes you can catch’em on the rails.
Two words. Bubble. Wrap. Nuff said.
