Bill Clinton Campaigns for the Republicans

Maybe the thin air got to him:
Former President Bill Clinton was in Denver, Colorado, stumping for his wife yesterday.
In a long, and interesting speech, he characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: “We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions ’cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren.”
Hillary’s tax plan ought to do the trick.

Jake Tapper is a hottie.
Is Hillary sure that Bill is out to help her campaign? Is she really, really sure about that?
Did he really say slow down our economy? Is that a tacit admission that under Bush our economy was doing just fine? Or that all those people in Edwards’ other America have to stay poor ‘for our grandchildren’? Is Hillary going to change her stump speech: impoverish yourself for the children? Maybe it’s just another way to blame Bush for all the worlds’ ills.
Clinton is more dangerous when he’s not angry, or more stupid anyway.
Has politics always been full of this kind of buffoonery, or has Clinton invented a whole genre to himself? I mean, I can’t envision Teddy Roosevelt or Wilson doing these kinds of things… not even Nixon.
The fact that Hill has a commercial playing saying that she can be trusted with the economy is just icing on the cake.
Politicians have always been this stupid.
But up until the last few years, the MSM acted as a huge buffer that selectively filtered their words before they made it out to a large audience.
The means of distribution has changed. But some of the old school politicos haven’t figured that out yet, and/or they lack the self control needed in today’s environment.
Hmmm…2 bullies, who just happen to be husband and wife, wanting to be the President yet again. . I don’t think so.
It apparently was pretty dramatically out of context. Apparently Clinton said that in the middle of saying that the rich countries could do that, but then it wouldn’t matter because the rising poor countries would continue to raise their emissions as well.
I think ABC is being unfair to Clinton here. Clinton’s full quote is actually very close to a conservative position.
John,
If that’s the case, then ABC certainly was unfair to Bill Clinton.
On the other hand, I’m right on the money about her tax plan.
