Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out

Bad news: Thompson is out.
Good news: Huckabee is fading.
Keep positive, call it a wash.
UPDATE: Liberty Belle won’t miss Fred, but not because her aim is no good.

RE: Oh Well…
Thompson is obviously not the one we needed, if he is truly dropping out. We someone with a tad more fighting-spirit.
It may well be that the Democrats will gain the White House this year. If so, as it is written in Claudius the God….

Ooops.
That should read….
We NEED someone with a tad more fighting-spirit.
If he did cost Huckabee the win in South Carolina, he’ll have spared us a second Jimmy Carter. I’d hoped for more, but I can live with this.
P.P.S. If you ask me….
…or even if you don’t….
Liberty Belle[um] has got some serious problems. Especially her claim to being a ‘lady’.
Write him in. I’m not done with Fred just yet…
Repeat after me… Brokered Convention. Brokered Convention. Brokered Convention.
Good. Now keep it up.

RE: Agreed
There is still a possibility that he could change his mind, if enough support manifested itself. And the ‘season’ is yet young.
Heck. Reading Catton’s Never Call Retreat, I notice that after the Republican Convention in Summer of 1864, when the Civil War was not going all that well for Lincoln, they nominated Lincoln to run again. THEN later that Summer, there was a move to remove Lincoln from the ticket and replace him with a more ‘radical’ Republican. That move collapsed the day Sherman marched into Atlanta.
Just goes to show that you never can tell.

RE: McCain
There’s an item somewhere on the blogosphere today about how the media love McCain.
I tell you that it’s because the media know that if McCain ins the Republican nominee, Republicans like myself will rebel and vote Libertarian….or worse. Giving the election to the Democrats.

Chuck(le)
