Thompson is terrible and has been found out. The GOP has real problem: Iowa loves social conservatives; NH likes fiscal conservatives. The party is now split between social nutters and fiscal types, but it is now–odd?–the Dems who are fiscally responsible and the GO_P that stands for Big Govt!
In fact any one of the Dem candidates would be decent…and what matters too is strong show in Congressional races, no matter who wins White House.
