Unseasonable Greetings

We got our first snow last Sunday, but there wasn’t enough of it for pretty pictures. Today we’ve gotten the predicted 4-8 inches already, and the stuff is still coming down.
As always, click the image for a better look. Before you ask, I didn’t shoot in black and white, and I didn’t wash out any of the colors in Photoshop.
Did I mention I love living in the woods?

In the expanded image I can make out the hints of green and brown in there.
Here in metro Atlanta, I’m eating my heart out, missing the five winters my wife and I spent in/not far from Fairbanks.
I’m eating my heart out down here in south-central Virginia! We’ve had a horribly dry summer, and I’m praying that God would send us a beautiful white winter to make up to it… but I’m not holding my breath!
*sigh*
So, I guess I’ll have to pore over others’ pictures and turn green with envy…
