Live From New York – Pajama Blogging!
November 16th, 2005 - 1:00 pm
Judith Miller was the keynote speaker at lunch this afternoon, and I came away impressed – if not exactly convinced. I thought about asking her a pointed question during the Q&A, but the only ones I could think of all concerned lesbian prison sex.
Details later, if I can remember any.

What, are you channeling Goldstein?
You’d better bring back some swag from this thing. I want an autographed hat from Roger.
Extreme blog conviviality
Last night and today I enjoyed one of the perks of living in NYC – I got to attend the Pajama Media – excuse me, Open Source Media – launch event. I did not live blog because 2/3 of the…

Judy Miller Addresses Lowly Bloggers
Jeff Jarvis has a summary of Judith Miller’s remarks to the assembled guests at the Open Source Media (nee Pajamas Media) launch event.
She describes the scene in prison as a bad c movie: bad girls in jail.
Except that the girls in the movie…

In between events, I managed to extricate myself from a deathly dull conversation with Steve Green and LaShawn Barber ("Is Jesus a libertarian? Would He support capital punishment? The ACLU?" etc.) and ducked …

P.S. More to come on her reputed defense of herself vis-a-vis issues of national import.
Judith Miller….lesbian prison sex…**wretch**
I REALLY didn’t want to eat dinner anyway….thanks.
Den Beste has really torn into OSM at his Anime site Chizumatic and I think he makes some good points. Hopefully there will be some good follow through after the initial hype. He made a post on his Anime site several weeks ago too where he talked about OSM/PJM and he didn’t think highly of it then either. In this case I hope he is wrong.
Didja see Tim Blair? Tell him we commenters have taken over his site and his (virtual) house is a mess!

There’s something seriously amiss about your priorities.
Ex post facto live memory blogging
I arrived late to yesterday’s Open Source Media launch, so I missed Jeff Goldstein’s keynote address (although Roger L. Simon filled me in). But I had a wonderful time yesterday. I have no idea what to expect from Open Source…
I still think it was a mistake to drop the pj’s in favor of — what is it again? open source? — gak. What a mouthful, utterly lacking in poetry. Sigh.
This post took over 3 hours to write.
I’ve been pretty underwater for the last few months and I didn’t even hear about the big ‘Open Source Media’ launch that happened in my city yesterday until just the day before. I called the organizer on the day of…
I dunno Sissy. I’m always in favor of dropping my pj’s.
My wife would object if I did it in public, though.
More PJ blogging
After some fitful absence from the political blog scene, Eric is back with a series of posts about the PJ launch which capture the spirit and details of the event:The disastrous fashion panel. The political panel. The hotness of Judy…
Stephen, you’re a hit with neo-neocon and LaShawn Barber, at least — if you forget, they could remind you (with good memories).
