Of course you don’t understand the EU Constitution — it was written by your betters.
I know this is practically herisy in Europe… but maybe they should have taken a cue from the U.S. and kept their constitution short and to the point. How long was that damn thing? No wonder nobody could understand it.
My only quibble with Nick’s post is that I understood the EU Constitution quite well: I understood it to be an unworkable, cobbled-together, indecipherable mess.
Not that they could’ve gotten it as short and sweet as our own Constitution – for one thing, every country involved has its own language and culture – but they could have at least tried, you know?
I hear that if you wad up pages from the EU Constitution and throw them in the toilet, it will unclog a toilet full of Koran pages.
The EU lied and trees died.
