Required Reading
November 3rd, 2004 - 12:15 pm
I’ve never linked to my own stuff under the “Required Reading” banner before, but there are two items I wrote after the last election which still hold water:
An Open Letter to the Democratic Party
An Open Letter to the Republican Party
This is no time for the Republicans to gloat, and it’s past time for the national Democrats to become a serious party again.

Too bad that lately the best thing the dems can do for the country is to lose well.
I reserve the right to gloat over Michael Moore and Ted Rall. I just do.
No, we get to gloat. Today. Rub it in on a couple of our Democrat friends.
Tomorrow; tomorrow I’ll be nice.
The election’s not over, folks; there’s still the Electoral College coming up. We’ve heard a West Virginia elector wants to switch his vote.
My personal daydream is that the electors currently pledged to Kerry will decide to use their vote to send a message instead. I suppose the daydream becomes a crackpipe fantasy when I hope they’ll switch their vote to someone serious about the economy and the war. Gephardt? Lieberman? Zell Miller? McCain?
