Seriously, Stephen, we can just go on and on. Let me know if you want a copy of this 8872 for any reason; I have a electronic copy right here on my desktop.
The next 100 callers will receive ,FREE, 30 moonbats ready and willing to explain away any relevance to the truth. In addition most Americans will ignore politics in general, but wait, there’s more…..
I did a little research on the subject of the campaign contributions by the top donors to 527 groups a couple weeks ago and posted it to Charles Johnson’s site. Rather than put it all here (it’s kind of lengthy) I’ll just link to the comment. Let’s just say a lot of New York TImes-style “connections” exist between donors to campaigns, 527 groups and the DNC. Boar’s Head luncheon meat and Slim Fast is involved.
Stephen Green does a wonderful job of point out the ties between Kerry/DNC and 527s, which are far more vast in nature than any alleged ties between the President/RNC and the Swifties.
Wait, I’m confused. I thought the Fat Cats supported the GOP.
I mean, when I saw “The Manchurian Candidate” it was the republican that had the phony war record, who’s buddies said his medals were fake, who was supported by the scary woman and had all the rich people backing him. And Hollywood would never lie to me!
But wait, theres so much more. check out the various members of Dewey Square Group and their collaborative ties to Team Kerry, the DNC, and nearly all the big 527′s.
Good thing I didn’t hold my breath waiting for the NYTimes to make a fancy chart.
In response to the question on Republicans being the party of money, Republicans in total may have a bit more, but it is much more concentrated in the Democrats. For a long time, they have depended on a much smaller number of very rich donors. What we call “limosine liberals”, or now even “Gulfstream liberals”.
What has been somewhat scary to me is that over the last decade, the “trial” lawyers have garnered billions (yes, billions) of dollars of contingency fees, many of which (IHMO) are unearned (and unethical, from my point of view as as non-trial lawyer). And where is that money going? After a private jet, a number of houses, etc., a number of them have a lot left over. The Republicans, supporting their base of small buisnesses are pushing tort reform to rein in this sort of gold mining. It is not rocket science to see that a couple of million here or there to defeat Bush and put one of them a heartbeat away from the White House is good economics. I just marvel at the trial lawyers I know who stick with the Republicans.

For those of you who've missed the last couple weeks because in the course of rescuing a bunch a schoolchildren from a burning church you were felled by heavy wooden beams: here.
Regarding Slim-Fast chairman S. Daniel Abraham. It should be said that Mr. Abraham is very philanthropic in general and doesn’t restrict his largesse to political contributions. I may not agree with his politics, but he does give a lot of money to good causes besides being a Democratic heavy hitter.

Yup. The Republicans have more small donors than the Democrats do, and it’s been that way for some time.
I don’t think financial dependency on an ultra-rich elite is good for a political party in the long run.
Now how much would you pay? Don’t answer yet, because there’s still more.
On a recent 8872 form filed by Move On, dated 7/14/04, the “custodian of records” and “contact person” for that organization are both listed as Neil Reiff. Neil Reiff is a partner in the firm of Sandler, Reiff & Young where his job is to “assist the DNC General Counsel in all legal matters affecting the national party” and to “advise and represent the DNC in all matters before the Federal Election Commission and state election agencies.”

All YOURS for the LOW LOW price of selling out whatever remained of your journalistic integrity!
What a fucking piece of work this Stephen Bing is. Maybe the dems should be doing less coordinating with him, for their own good.

If somebody could photochop Kerry holding a PocketFisherman, Jeff Goldstein might get quoted in the MSM.
So you don’t forget, e-mail by midnight tonight.

Stay gold, Ponyboy.
And the free set of steak knives you get was only used once: to stick into the backs of John McCain and Russ Feingold.
ed,
don’t be a Big-mouth, you shouldn’t carp on your Bass-a-matic. I’m sure you had a whale of a time with it.
Let’s not confuse “fat cats” with “big business”. They do often co-exist, but they are not synonymous.
Both parties have “fat cats”.

This fat bloated sack of crap Michael Moore can be yours for only 59.99.
But wait, I will throw in an addtional year’s supply of Al Sharpton hair straightener and a complimentary trowel!
And even more! Laywer Neil Reiff works for the Democratic Party, and MoveOn.org’s 527.
