“We shouldn’t be opening fire houses in Baghdad, while closing them in the United States of America.”
Does that mean we shouldn’t send the Army into Baghdad, before we send it into Washington? I’m totally flummoxed as to what he meant there.

This speech seems to be going nowhere – it’s all red meat to the crowd.
VBoy… can you find ONE just one firehouse in US that’s been closed because of … because of .. well, whatever we seem to be closing them for? Federal funding? What???
Firefighters have a strong union. This is pander for the union vote.
Obviously a poor example, since firefighting is one of the least threatened jobs in our country.
This is a direct shot at Philadelphia. Philadelphia has budget problems due to high taxes causing people and companies to flee (we are also a democratic plantation) So when the tax reform commission recommended large tax breaks accross the board to reverse this trend, suddenly fire stations were being offered up to balance the budget. Just more democratic bull – I am pretty sure that fire fighting is a local activity not covered by the US constitution and more money to first responders is nice, but the money is better spent so they don’t have to pick thru the rubble after the attack but attacking the bastards before the attack
