We’re not there yet. . .
. . .but we’re getting close.
Hey, that looks like my kitchen, but after a normal day!
Wait, I hope my wife doesn’t read this.
Monica looks on with the hungry eyes of someone living in a London flat.
Looking good. What are the countertops made of?
I’m with rosignol. Those are great countertops.
Dude, M sees you posted a pic of a full sink on the intarwebnet and she’s going to kick thy ass.
Thanks, Ros. Not bad for laminate, eh?
We thought about spending the money on solid surface counters (I wanted Corian, Melissa wanted granite), but the price we’re likely to get for the house in 4 or 5 years just didn’t justify the expense.
And Stacy — you see that dishwasher? It ain’t hooked up to anything yet.
Um, just a heads-up… I may have signed you up to tend bar at the American Sovereignty Party national convention in Hawaii. Hope you don’t mind Steve.
My parents got Corean back when I was in high school- it’s worth it. Looks good, nigh-indestructable, and (my favorite) no grout. I’ve missed it since I moved out, and once I get a place of my own that I intend to stay in for more than 5 years, I’m getting it put in.
Granite is nice, but there tends to be grout involved at some point- at the sink, etc.
What, no breadmachine?
It had better be in a roll-out countertop inside a drawer or something, because it just is not a kitchen without a breadmachine.
that looks kick ass for laminate… just don’t scorch it!!!
but seriously, for baking etc granite is the way to go… stays cool and is great as an indestructible surface… yeah you’re supposed to seal it.. but it’s fine if you don’t and its dark…
i would kill to have your kitchen. ours is tiny & the cook in me cries each time i enter it …
I would swear from the pictures (ain’t the Internet a wonder?) that this was real stone – still the best, IMO, surface for a counter, but on a cost/benefit basis it looks like you really made out well….
PS: is that real wood?
It that’s laminate you better sell those photos to the company who makes it, they would make a great ad!
