As uplifting as Blair’s speech was, it doesn’t detract from the emerging fact that the administration’s case for war, in all its variations, was wholly fraudulent.
Makes you wonder what happened to the “responsibility era” that Bush pledged would begin with his presidency. So much for upholding the integrity of the office.
This is not another excuse for Bush-bashing. The credit goes to Blair, with one of the best examples of oratory from a British prime minister since the days of Churchill!
