   Read “Up Front” by Bill Mauldin (who I hear is ill – get well man!) about the average WWII combat soldier’s reaction to Gen. George Patton’s take on this kind of situation.

   Now, if this joe IS a Patton, the Afgahnis are going to be holding on to their turbans…..

   The proper term for this stuff is not “mickey mouse,” but “chickenshit.”

   The troops know what chickenshit is and that’s why they put up the “no saluting” sign.

   trust me, they’ll ignore the chickenshit when the brass aren’t around
