Dipnut (AKA Isntapundit) has a way of sliding really sharp essays in under the radar. So don’t miss his latest — a plea to the President.

Ouch! You’re right — “sharp” is too tame a word for that essay. One question: what the hell was the reference to sending Mineta “back to internment camp?”
(not sure about the Mineta thing either)
And while I may vary slightly on certain points, I must admit that he captures the FEELING perfectly. It sucks te feel betrayed.
Just a wild guess…
Is Mineta Jewish?
Perhaps his parents were Japanese?
Maybe he has connections to Yugoslavia.
That was just about the only false note in the whole thing.
I think Norm Mineta was sent to internment camp for Japanese citizens as a child in WWII. This is supposed to be the reason why he’s so dogmatically against racial profiling.
It was a super-cheap shot, I’ll admit.
Goddamn that was a good post.
Hey, maybe this Bush fellow isn’t so bad after all.
Damn that’s good! Says exactly what I thought, with some points to add over the steel quotas, suppressing the Reagan papers, buying up the oil leases in Florida (and not California? At least stand up like a man and say, “Yeah, I want to win Florida legally next time.”), and backpedalling every so slowly over the Enron dealings.
Does Bush think we’re not watching? Does Bush think?
You touch on some valid points, i’ll give you that. But consider this…
Why would the president actually telegraph his (our) intentions… doesn’t it make more sense for him to quietly get everything in place, then act?
guess what’s happening now..
Ok I must have missed something somewhere along the line…I’ll just blame it on the sleep-deprivation and move on.
What’s with everyone suddenly calling him “dipnut”?
