The Hero Machine lets you make yourself over as a superhero.
Allow me to introduce — Super VodkaPundit!
Sorry I had to give him a gun, but there was no option for a martini glass. Also notice I’m not overcompensating with some giant techno laser gun. Read into that whatever you like.
Does the poison symbol represent vodka or my pen, you ask? Yes, of course it does.
That’s not an ammo belt I’m wearing. Those are test-tube shots of Bacardi Select.
Thanks to Stacy for the great find. Fun fun fun!

Yeah, somebody on one of the comics boards pointed to that a while back. I’ll have to see if I saved my creation…
I’ve got mine, but I can’t figure out a good way to get it saved as an image (.jpg or .gif) file!
Hey Chris: Worst comes to worst, take a screen shot and crop the picture in Photoshop. That’s what I have done for all of mine…
That’s the only way to do it, kiddies.
Here’s mine.
At the risk of sounding truly idiotic, how do you take a screen shot?
On the PC, press Alt+Print Scrn.
I do that. It doesn’t work or do anything.
First you press Alt and Print Scrn at the same time. The image will be in your clipboard. Then open an image editing program if you have one on your computer — at the worst, if you have a Windows PC you will have Paint. Make a new image (File then New) and then right click inside it and select “paste” from the little menu. The file will be large, so you’ll have to crop and resave. MS Paint does do jpegs now, so save it as a jpeg. Voila! Ready to upload.
Pej:
On my computer, I don’t have to hit the Alt key; in fact, it doesn’t work if I hit Alt. I just hit the Print Screen key by itself, open up Photoshop [or like Andrea mentioned, you can use Paint], hit Ctrl+V and voila!
Good luck…
Most PCs made in the last few years use te print screen key to take a screen shot by default. Few people acutally use it to print anymore.
Mine’s up on my site now – it’s sort of a Victorian Gentlemen/killer robot.
Mr. Treacher -
How about a little bit of clip art nonsense using the various blog-heroes?
OK, I was able to do the screen save, and save it as a JPG type document. Now, how do I upload the document in order to be able to post it????
Please have mercy on a tech neophyte.
