Hillary: On Second Thought, Maybe Businesses and Corporations Do Create Jobs!

Last Friday, Hillary Clinton stated flat out that corporations and businesses do not create jobs. Exact quote:

Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.

Apparently that “anybody” now includes Hillary Clinton herself. On Monday Clinton tried to re-write Friday’s line.

On Monday at a campaign event for New York Rep. Sean Maloney, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, Clinton went for a do-over, saying, “Let me be absolutely clear about what I’ve been saying for a couple of decades: Our economy grows when businesses and entrepreneurs create good-paying jobs here in an America where workers and families are empowered to build from the bottom up and the middle out — not when we hand out tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs or stash their profits overseas.”

Even CNN notes that Clinton is having trouble with her own mouth.

In early June, during her book tour, Clinton made a major gaffe when she said, “We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt,” a comment that critics cited as evidence she is out of touch with everyday Americans.

CNN spends the rest of that article bashing Mitt Romney for some reason.

Hillary Clinton is still the odds-on favorite to win the Democrat nomination, but this latest revealing moment suggests once again that she is overrated. She does not run good campaigns, is not an inspiring stump speaker, is not principled and is not particularly interesting. She has no compelling back story (she spent decades killing off lots of those to keep Clenis viable). She has none of her husband’s charm or savvy, and thanks to Obama’s incompetence/malevolence and Wendy Davis’ implosion in Texas, the shine has even worn off of the idea of electing candidates for the sake of history. She cannot run on her great tenure as secretary of State, not without Benghazi and the chaos in the world coming up. So what exactly is Hillary Clinton going to run on?
