Profiled last night by 60 Minutes, National Security Advisor Susan Rice said she doesn’t have time to think about the Benghazi attacks and the false narrative spread by the administration that cost her a shot at the secretary of State job.

Then ambassador to the UN, Rice was sent out on the news shows after the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks to tell the story that a spontaneous protest over an anti-Muhammad YouTube video was the catalyst for the assault on the diplomatic compound that left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

“What our assessment is as of the present, is in fact what, it began spontaneously in Benghazi,” Rice said at the time on Face the Nation.

Her talking points about the planned al-Qaeda-linked attack were brought up by senators who planned to block Rice’s nomination to the top job at the State Department. John Kerry ended up getting the post and Obama named Rice to a position that doesn’t need Senate confirmation.

“I don’t have time to think about a false controversy,” Rice said in the Sunday night interview. “In the midst of all of the swirl about things like talking points, the administration’s been working very, very hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and our facilities. That’s what we ought to be focused on.”

When pressed on why then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn’t take Sunday show duty after the attack, Rice said “she had just gone through an incredibly painful and stressful week.”

“Secretary Clinton, as our chief diplomat, had to reach out to the families, had to greet the bodies upon their arrival at Andrews Air Force Base. If I were her, the last thing I would have wanted to do is five Sunday morning talk shows. So I think it’s perfectly understandable,” Rice said.

“So when the White House asked me, I agreed to do it,” she added.

The Benghazi attackers are still at large.

Should have been doing that before Sept.11 2012. It's not that hard, let's see, send out a directive around the beginning of August, all embassies and consulates be on high alert because Sept. 11 is coming. If you feel in danger we will get you out. Period

That Susan Rice "app" is just another flippant example of the folly of "affirmative action", as are most of those busy bodies ensconced inside the current "administration". Part of me wants to let them all go ahead and make complete azzes of themselves, but another part says "Enough!"....Impeach!...they're damaging our Nation.

....have testicles disappeared completely from The House of Representatives so they can't find any sponsors of a Bill of Impeachment for these twice elected charlatans?

Frankly, it's a nice irony to try to decide if she [Susan Rice] really might well be appropriate for that nasty bureaucracy named the United Nations. Nations united now against us here in America......those at the San Francisco Conference setting up the United Nations to take the place of the League of Nations which proved so hapless after the War To End All Wars must be twirling in their graves after all of the American blood sacrificed [yet again] to end World War II.

Why can't we learn from past experience?

‘I Don’t Have Time to Think About a False Controversy’ has too many words in it. It should have stopped after the word, Think.

Rice is under instructions to deflect any and all probes into the Benghazi affair. The Administration’s conduct was shameful from top to bottom; it cannot endure having it examined too closely, even at this late juncture. Anyone still a part of the regime who dares to speak candidly about that incident and its sequelae would face a severe reprisal, decreed from above. As for the former Secretary of State, you may rest assured that she’ll keep mum out of pure Oval-Office-seeking self-interest.

You know what's really bad about her interview on 60 Minutes? I'm not surprised at a single answer she gave. Not one Cabinet level appointee in this administration would have said anything different or they wouldn't even be in that job.
