The fight that is going on against Christianity is really a fight against the protection of life, liberty, and property, and the raising of tyranny by the loss of due process of law. The common law which protects your rights was developed by English Christian jurists who incorporated precepts of the Bible into the common law, and this laid the foundation of every American's  protection of life, liberty, and property.

Right of Search Warrant by a Judge (Dt19:18)
Right to a public trial (Dt.17:5),
Right to an appeal (Dt.17:8-9),
Right to a impartial judge (Lev.19:15),
Right to present evidence (Ex.22:13),
Right to a fair trial (Ex.20:16),
Right to require two witnesses for the death penalty (Dt.17:6),
Right to put up a defense (Ex.32:9-14).
Public Trial (Dt. 21:19)
A right to thorough investigation (Dt:19:18)

"In response to some of your tweets, there will be no feats of strength, and I have no plans to end Festivus by wrestling with Senator Reid."

I suspect a lot of people would pay to see that....

"I have a small grievance — with people who think my hair is not real."

Now that's just silly. Who would pay to have that hair?

Yes indeed, and no surprise this is a toxic subject suppressed on campuses everywhere. (And many other places -- you might want to ck out Gene Epstein's recent not-so-sharp anti-WASP 'analysis' in the WSJ.) The entire concept of equity in society evolved as a workable system over centuries of evolution in England, in what became known as the Court of Chancery -- which was entirely separate from common law until the two were finally joined in the 17thC and 18thC.

The English deserve a lot of the credit, but they had help from other europeans (France, Germany, Switzerland especially, and the legacy of Rome). The underpinnings of modern civilization are, in fact, more Christian than Judeo-Christian, however much that stings around here.
Happy Kwanza.

Rand Paul, in addition to his saner approach to foreign policy, possesses a virtue his father seldom displayed: a robust sense of humor.
