PJ Media columnist J. Christian Adams appeared on The Kelly File on Fox News on Friday to talk about his recent article detailing how the Department of Homeland Security has recently hired activist immigration attorneys who worked for pro-amnesty, pro-asylum, and open borders groups in the past.

Now, sources inside DHS have provided PJ Media with the employment history and pro-amnesty backgrounds of the newly hired lawyers who will be enforcing federal immigration laws.

The ideological histories of these new DHS lawyers undermine confidence that the federal government will vigorously enforce federal laws, notwithstanding any congressional “mandates” to do so.

These lawyers were hired through unconventional means by former DHS chief counsel for Citizen and Immigration Services Stephen Legomsky. Sources at DHS report that when Legomsky was hired by Secretary Janet Napalitano’s Department, he was not even an active member of any bar association. After resigning in October 2013, Legomsky is now a professor of law at Washington University. His scholarship is most notable for its hostility toward barriers to entry for foreigners coming to the United States.

Today's reality is that the gentry class (and its values) dominate the bureaucracy throughout the West. So, as Mr Adams knows, the political background of the new immigration lawyers at DHS will have much more power than any part of the Executive, Congress or, indeed, Judiciary.

The truly ironic part is that the people who voted for Obama in droves - the young, blacks, single women - are the ones most hurt by this. Hope'nChange!

The young are being hurt, yes. But the mothers of bastards and most blacks are the very ones who are being lavished with this one-size-fits-all plan. Funny that, in an era when most products can be customized for the customer, we've moved from custom plans to this. It's either that the socialists are that stupid or that the real agenda is government takeover of healthcare. Or both.

Given its actions over the last twenty years, I'd say the federal government has already done a fine job of undermining any such confidence.

This problem has accelerated exponentially in the last five years under Obama, who seeks nothing less than the subjugation of the Constitution's separation of powers to his will.

Law professor Jonathan Turley, usually a certified Obama drone, made this startling admission about Obama in Congressional testimony just a few days ago:

"The danger is quite severe. The problem with what the president is doing is that he's not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system. He's becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid."

Turley is a favorite of the media, so it's no doubt just a coincidence, but a google search for this story on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and the NYT turned up this many references to Turley's statement - none, as in zero, zip, nada, nil, zilch, ゼロ, صفر, нулявы, 零, אפס, ಶೂನ್ಯ, លេខសូន្យ, 제로, शून्य, சுழி, เป็นศูนย์, sıfır, נול, et al.

(For you Ivy League leftlings, this is also referred to as "0.00")

You gotta love the irony. They call this outfit "Homeland Security" and Obamacare "The Affordable Care Act". I'd be rolling on the floor laughing if I didn't know what it was doing to the country.

We've seen him bring in a card carrying communist as Green Energy Czar, a hafiz as an advisor of some sort, a known fraud as a Supreme Court justice, and a war coward with a sealed military record as Secretary of State.

So, after all that, at this point what does bringing into the DHS' immigration department a cabal of anti-sovereignty lawyers really matter? I axe this rhetorical question without fat ankles or 2016 presidential aspirations.

Decay comes from within. We all know this fact of life and government. We have a leftist executive and, fast approaching, legislative branch. We're one justice away from a leftist judiciary. How many leftists or liberals can these departments hire in eight years to staff our lower levels of bureaucracy with life-time positions and guaranteed pensions?

And the right is going to do what about this? Stand astride the border and cry 'Hold, enough is enough'! No, the right will live and pay the consequences of leftist actions. The PPACA, for example, is a travesty the present administration will ride until things are so bad, it cannot be reversed, but must be totally rethought and redone.

We often get questioned: "How could Germans permit a Hitler or a system like National Socialism come to power in one of the greatest nations of its time? We need only to look around at our own house to see how. Let's not fool ourselves that Nazi Germany was an outlier in human history.
