Apparently, the problems with the Obamacare website proved just too tempting a target for the mirth makers at Saturday Night Live. Their opening skit featured a pretty good impersonation by Kate McKinnon of Secretary Sebelius and a string of one-liners about the problems with HealthCare.gov that should leave you in stitches.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Sebelius addressed the uproar about HealthCare.gov’s bumpy launch. She noted millions of Americans had flocked to the site hoping to sign up for Obamacare, but “unfortunately the site was only designed to handle six users at a time.”

But she offered a few workarounds, noting the website had links to other useful places, such as Kayak.com, where “you can purchase air tickets to Canada to buy cheaper drugs,” and BitTorrent, where one can find healthcare-related movies such as Patch Adams.

If people still had complaints, Sebelius suggested they send a postcard to the government, promising they would receive a response in six-to-eight weeks. She then pulled out some of the items the government would send – a grab bag of 1990′s software including a trial version of the 1995 Encarta Encyclopedia and a CD-Rom for 1,000 hours of AOL.

Warning: a small bit about porn — what you might do to pass the time while waiting for the website.

when late night start to skewer the man and his policies, and people start getting the news that their insurance is being cancelled, and prices are rising, with a little luck it will be campaign fodder for a long time. right up to an election that can dwarf 2010 in proportion of change that occurs.

I dunno...no one is holding Obama accountable even though this cluster*k bears his name. Stewart mocks Healthcare.org, SNL mocks Sebelius, but if you look a little closer, no one is really blaming Obama.

SNL and John Stewart audiences are the ones that The One needs, so this is priceless. It's more effective than any ad.

Some one should tell Obama ,Reid and Pelosi an old Texas Holdem poker saying
You have to know when to holdem and know when to foldem.
When you get dealt a bad hand ,throw in your cards and wait till the next deal

Does anyone really believe this will make any difference to the brain dead obot sheeple?
They voted for the failure with high unemployment and a crashing economy. He destroyed their financial outlook and they still 'love' the failure.
Why should destruction of the health care system matter to them?

Thanks, Rick, for posting - doesn't show on Hulu and when you goggle you only come across the CNN 1 minute comment.

Wake me when they start goofing on the paralysis of the Obama administration; when they start mocking the inability of Obama to actually decide something.

A show that stopped being funny years ago mocking what is a tragedy - a true snapshot of Obama's America.

So what?
They skewered Sebelius but not Obama. So their take is that she is to blame and Obama has clean hands.

The SNL skit was almost perfect, but they couldn't help themselves, that had to throw in one sop to socialized medicine, with the throwaway bit about getting cheaper drugs in Canada. But other than that, thumbs up to the gag writers at Rockefeller Center.

So, the Obamacare website bombed, but the NSA can monitor and store the digital tracks of six billion people in real time, including all heads of state: So, when did Saturday Night Live know that the president was incompetent and when did the president know that they knew?

Even Democrats can't ignore failure forever. In this case, SNL is reflecting what a good portion of non-Kool-Aid drinking Americans have been saying since the ACA web site launch.

The website is an easy target. Let's see if they have the guts to do a skit on canceled plans and sticker shock. The script is already written. "I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it," says some genius today in the L.A. Times.
